Country Roads Community Health Centre serves the health needs of Rideau Lakes Township, Westport and surrounding areas. For many people, Country Roads is simply the friendly place where people come to see a nurse, nurse practitioner or doctor to make sure everything is working as it should or to treat a problem. But much of the work done by Country Roads staff is not about treating illness. Our role is to work with the community to eliminate barriers to good health. The specialty of a CHC is to know who the most vulnerable people in our communities are and help them to access the resources they need to remain healthy or become healthy.
